Lara Rajteric is a professional triathlete from Slovenia. She was swimming as a child, later became a cyclist, and in May 2022, signed up for her first triathlon, Ironman 70.3 in Porec, Croatia. Despite having very little running training, Lara won her age-group and qualified for the 2023 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Lahti, Finland. In 2023, Lara won in her age-group in all the races she completed in, except for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Lahti, where she finished 3rd. As she describes, the only logical next step was to take the professional licence and compete as a professional in 2024. In her first professional season, Lara finished 6th in Apfelland Triathlon, 6th in Challenge Walchsee, 5th in Trumer Triathlon, won the Slovenian middle distance national championship in Zadar middle distance triathlon (in Croatia) and finished the season with 14th place in Challenge Mallorca. She is currently ranked 160. In the PTO (Professional Triathletes Organisation). Lara’s goals for the next season are to climb into PTO top 100 and to qualify for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, Spain.
