Luka Kosovel is a young professional triathlete from Slovenia. He started running at the age of 17, then added cycling, and impressed by watching videos of Lionel Sanders, added swimming as well. Luka progressed quickly and placed 2nd in his age-group in his first olympic distance race in Koper in 2021 with the time of 2:02h, then backed that up with a 13th place overall and 2nd place in his age-group with the time of 4:41h in the 2021 Ironman 70.3 Slovenian Istria. Luka quickly realised that he has big potential and became motivated to train more and progress even further. He finished the 2023 season with a 3rd place overall in the Ironman 70.3 Porec, Croatia, with a time of 4 hours, and decided to become a professional in 2024. Luka placed 14th in his professional debut at Challenge Cesenatico 70.3 race, then placed 16th in Apfelland triathlon just a few weeks later. Luka is very motivated to make the 2025 season even better and is already making plans for the next season. His goal is to climb into top 50 on the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) world rankings.
