Kerry Girona is a professional triathlete and a personal trainer from the USA. Kerry ran 400m track for East Carolina University and started competing in sprint and olympic distance triathlons in 2015. She completed her first 70.3 distance in 2017 and in 2019, she won her age-group in IRONMAN 70.3 North Carolina. Kerry’s progression continued as she won Ironman 70.3 Augusta and Ironman 70.3 North Carolina in 2021, Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast in 2022 and competed in both Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii (where she finished 59th) and Ironman 70.3 World Championship in St. George (where she placed 12th) in 2022. The year 2023 was perfect for Kerry: she won all 5 Ironman races she competed in: Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast, Ironman 70.3 Eagleman, Ironman 70.3 Augusta, Ironman 70.3 Florida and Ironman California. The logical next step was to take the pro card and start competing as a professional triathlete. Kerry’s professional career started great as she placed 14th in a stacked field at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and she achieved her first professional podium at the Ironman 70.3 Ecuador. Her goal is to qualify for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships and the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
