Lukas is an ex-canoe slalom racer who transitioned to triathlon and quickly climbed to the top of the ranks. He already won his age-group in Ironman Frankfurt in 2021, and a year later repeated the success, along with winning his age-group in Ironman 70.3 Zell am See and placing 3rd in his age-group in Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. In 2023, Lukas had a breakthrough year: He won his age-group in Ironman 70.3 Venice-Jesolo, Ironman Hamburg, Ironman Frankfurt (where he also won the race overall), became a World Champion in his age-group in the Ironman World Championships in Nice, France, and finished 5th in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Lahti, Finland. It is therefore no wonder that he took a professional licence and started racing as a professional in 2024. Lukas is extremely determined and motivated to succeed, and he’s not afraid to work hard for it. He balances studying at the university with 30-40 hours of training per week and his attention to detail is staggering. This has already shown in Ironman Austria, where he finished 4th, and is now chasing his qualification for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
