Tine Lavrencic is a triathlete, a husband, a father and a triathlon coach. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, he’s not just your average middle of the pack triathlete: he is the 2019 ITU Long Distance Age-group World Champion, overall winner of 2023 Ironman Austria, he finished 5th in his age-group (40th overall, including professionals) in the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Nice, France, and 11th in his age-group (60th overall, including professionals) in the 2022 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, with a time of 8:53h. Tine’s triathlon career began by accident in 2015, when he signed up for his first triathlon without any proper training and with a borrowed bike. With extreme dedication and hard work, he quickly climbed to the top of the age-group ranks. Now, he balances training, work and family, and still has high goals in the sport, one of them being finishing an Ironman in under 8 hours.
